Description
This is only the hotfix. You must have OrCad 16.6 already installed!
1) Rename your original orcad folder
Ex:
Original: C:CadenceOrCad_16.6
Renamed: C:CadenceOrCad_16.6.old
2) Recreate the empty folder using the original install folder (C:CadenceOrCad_16.6)
3) Copy compnts.dat from the renamed folder to the original folder (copy C:CadenceOrCad_16.6.oldcompnts.dat to C:CadenceOrCad_16.6compnts.dat)
4) Run hotfix
5) Copy the following to the newly updated folder (C:CadenceOrCad_16.6tools)
pubkey
pubkey.exe
Tools.cmd
6) Run Tools.cmd in (C:CadenceOrCad_16.6tools)
7) Copy entire contents of the Original to the Renamed folder overwritting all files
copy C:CadenceOrCad_16.6 to C:CadenceOrCad_16.6.old
8) Delete C:CadenceOrCad_16.6
9) Rename C:CadenceOrCad_16.6.old to C:CadenceOrCad_16.6
