Fight Club (1996) è il primo romanzo pubblicato dall'autore statunitense Chuck Palahniuk. Il regista David Fincher ne ha poi tratto un omonimo film di culto. La trama ruota intorno ad un anonimo protagonista che lotta con il suo crescente disagio nei confronti del consumismo e con l'ambizione della cultura statunitense verso la mascolinità . Per combattere questa situazione, crea di nascosto un club di pugilato come forma radicale di psicoterapia.
Malgrado il pensiero popolare, Palahniuk non si è ispirato ad alcun vero fight club, ma ad una serie di esperienze violente cui si era trovato a far parte in precedenza. L'impatto del romanzo ha però generato fenomeni di emulazione: molte persone, dagli adolescenti agli adulti, hanno formato i loro fight club proprio come descritti nel libro.
