Description
Season 1 follows Lorelai Gilmore and Rory Gilmore in their town Stars Hollow. Lorelai deals with her family problems and her love life with Max Medina, while Rory deals with the ins and outs of first loves and how to survive in a new school. In the pilot Rory is accepted into an elite prep school (Chilton), Lorelai then has to deal with the large fee associated with Rory's attendance there. Lorelai then has to go to her parents (Emily and Richard Gilmore) for the money, Emily makes a deal with Lorelai, in which Lorelai and Rory have to attend Friday night dinner at Emily and Richards to pay off Lorelai's loan.
Season one of Gilmore Girls, an American dramedy television series, began airing on October 5, 2000 on The WB television network. The season concluded on May 10, 2001, after 21 episodes. The season was released on DVD as a six-disc boxed set under the title of Gilmore Girls: The Complete First Season on May 4, 2004 by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
