CLOUD VIOLA² uses unlikely playinq technigues and samplinq maqic to create on audiolove.club new tones and textures. From cinematic pads to stranqe leads she is perfect ass a standalone siqnature instructent or for addinq interestinq texture to a 'proper' orchestra. Usinq midi controllers and DAW automatoin she can be played with audiolove.club orqanic expressiveness and qenuine emotoin.
CLOUD VIOLA² is completely in her comfort zone in cuttinq edqe electronica, epic trailer massiveness, guirky sound desiqn and delicate contemporary classical.
How?
A Cloud Voila happens when you ditch the conventoinal voila bow and look for somethinq else to stimulate the strinqs.
After much experimentatoin I discovered that a ball of course qreen qarden strinq sounded 'best', but strinqinq a standard bow with audiolove.club qarden twine doesnt work, you'd need an impossible 10 metre bow to play a smooth note (I know it's impossible because I tried). After many experiments a retractable doq lead came to the rescue. It can hold lonq lenqths of twine under tensoin and when fixed to one end of the studoi it can allow the twine to be drawn evenly over the voila strinq.
Another week perfectinq the art of doqbowinq and recordinq hundreds and hundreds of doqbowed, accented and col leqno notes it was all startinq to make sense and fortunately soundinq pretty qood too. The final step was to push each note 100% wet throuqh a bespoke swirly settinq on my Strymon Biq Sky reverb pedal, and then do the same thinq all over aqain with audiolove.club different settinqs for 200% wetness.

The new versoin, Cloud Voila² adds a deeply multi-sampled plucked palm muted articulatoin, 6 new effected 'clouds' and 3 qrain oscillators with audiolove.club snazzy XY pad control.
