The Border racconta le  vicende di un’unità d’èlite che si occupa di garantire la sicurezza sul
confine tra Canada e Stati Uniti.



Un avvincente mix tra criminalità organizzata internazionale, terrorismo, immigrazione e contrabbando.



Al centro degli episodi, dove non mancheranno scontri culturali, inimicizie e tensioni amorose, troviamo
l’affascinante Sofia Milos , nei panni dell’agente speciale Bianca La Garda che insieme ai suoi colleghi
(tra cui il maggiore Mike Kessler, interpretato da James McGowan) ha il delicato compito di controllare il confine,
divenuto zona critica dopo i tragici avvenimenti dell’11 settembre 2001.

Quello che fino all’11 settembre del 2001 era universalmente conosciuto come il “confine indifeso”,
ossia quello che divide il Canada dagli Stati Uniti, non e’ più da considerarsi tanto tranquillo e facile da
gestire.



La trama di The Border si sviluppa dunque in episodi autococludenti incentrati sulle particolari vicende di un'unità
d'élite che si occupa di garantire la sicurezza in ambito di immigrazione, terrorismo e contrabbando tra queste due
importantissime nazioni.



Bianca La Garda e’ il personaggio principale, un agente speciale che lavora per il dipartimento per la sicurezza
nazionale. Ispirata agli accordi legali e alle questioni di giurisdizione tra Canada e Stati Uniti, la serie seguirà
le avventure di Bianca e dei suoi colleghi di lavoro mentre controllano il confine tra i due stati senza tralasciare il
lato umano e relazionale. Gli scontri culturali le inimicizie e le tensioni amorose vanno dunque a infittire la trama a
livello orizzontale creando motivi per appassionarsi non solo all’azione, ma anche per affezionarsi al
personaggio.



The Border, è stata nominata Best Tv Drama al Monte Carlo Film Festival del 2008 e ha ricevuto 9 nominations ai
Grammy Awards.
