Description
Una nuova serie televisiva d'importazione americana sta per arrivare in Italia. Si tratta di The Guardian, telefilm in ventidue episodi che andrà in onda da lunedì 28 giugno in seconda serata su Canale 5. Prodotta dalla Columbia Tristar la serie, ideata da David Hollander, è stata trasmessa per la prima volta dalla CBS tra il settembre del 2001 ed il maggio del 2002. Ne è protagonista l'avvocato Nick Fallin, interpretato dall'attore Simon Baker.
Nick lavora nel prestigioso studio legale Fallin & Associates, fondato dal padre Burton, l'attore Dabney Coleman (nella foto a destra), Golden Globe nel 1988, a Pittsburgh, in Pennsylvania, dove la serie è ambientata. Le cose vanno bene per Nick: soldi, abiti firmati, macchine costose, fin troppo bene, tanto da permettergli un costante uso di sostanze stupefacenti.
Un giorno però il ragazzo viene colto in flagranza dalla polizia ed arrestato per uso di droga. Al termine del processo, una dolorosa umiliazione per il vecchio Fallin, la sentenza impone a Nick il pagamento di una pesante ammenda, e la "condanna" a lavorare per 1500 ore per i servizi sociali.
